WHAT TO EXPECT

WHAT'S A SERVICE LIKE?
Visiting a church for the first time can be nerve-racking. But having an idea of what to expect can help. There are three main parts to every Sunday service: preaching, worship, and kids.

Mount Hope Christian Church has a casual, relaxed atmosphere. Friendly people who will help you find your way around. Today's music, high-impact media presentations and messages relevant to your daily life. A secure, safe and fun environment for your children. You matter to us and to God!

Whether you're single, married, with or without children, no matter where life has taken you... We invite you to experience the difference here at Mount Hope Christian Church. Helping you grow in God, grow in the church, and grow in the community... That's what you can expect here at Mount Hope Christian Church.

IT'S ALL ABOUT JESUS
The only way to get to know Jesus is to understand what the Bible says about him. Only then will you understand how having a personal relationship with Him can set you free.

PREACHING

WE PREACH JESUS
Corinthians 4:5 "For what we preach is not ourselves, but Jesus Christ as Lord, and ourselves as your servants for Jesus' sake". (NIV)

You'll learn how to be a better person, how to have better relationships, and how to live a more fulfilling life... you'll learn this and much more. You'll also learn that without Jesus, all of this is meaningless. Only a relationship with Jesus can make us better. And true fulfillment is only found in Jesus. This means we teach from the Bible, because the Bible is all about Jesus. Sermons last about an hour or so.

The Bible tells us that faith comes by hearing the word of God, the Bible. So we want to share about Jesus as much as we can. All of our sermons are online so you can check them out for yourself.

WORSHIP

LIVE, CONTEMPORARY MUSIC
Worship is the process of surrendering our entire life into God's hands. Everything we do should be an act of worship.

One of the ways we worship God is through music. Each Sunday morning before the sermon begins our worship team, along with the congregation, sing songs of praise and worship to our Lord. We have talented musicians who love Jesus who serve Him by performing many different genres of music... from contemporary, to original and sometimes even a new twist on old hymns.

More than just entertainment, music is a way for us to prepare our hearts and minds to hear Gods word and to respond to His word. Also, as part of our worship, we take communion together and give tithes and offerings to support God's work. Our atmosphere is casual, reflective, and open to all.

KIDS & YOUTH

It's natural for parents to want to find out all they can about a Church Children's Ministry & Youth Ministry Programs. We realize in many cases, it's the quality of these programs that "convinces" a family to call that church their "church home."

We have created children and youth programs where parents can feel comfortable that their kids are learning to grow personally and spiritually while being engaged and interacting in a positive, Godly environment with their peers. We are sensitive to the varying age groups and tailor our lessons and activities so that none of our children and teens feel “left out”. We value each and every participant and commit to ensuring all of our children and teens have the opportunity to experience progressive growth.

SUNDAY SCHOOL FOR KIDS
Children are very important to us at Mount Hope. We want to welcome children into our church family and teach them about who Jesus is by providing grade-appropriate activities which will be both instructive and fun. Immediately following our Sunday morning worship service, we offer a full children’s program. For the safety and well-being of your children, we offer a secure check in/out system.

NURSERY AND PRESCHOOL
Open to children from birth to 4 years old. Parents can feel confident they are leaving their children with volunteers who will provide a loving, safe and clean environment for their little ones.

ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
Children will engage in praise and worship, Bible lesson and prayer, scripture memory verses, crafts and fun activities that help them learn about God and His love for them.

YOUTH (12-17)
Every Wednesday at 7pm, our youth meet to participate in the youth ministry. Our focus is to provide the teens with scripturally based lessons and activities that are interesting, engaging, and fun... who wants to come to a boring meeting? We want the teens to connect with each other and with God on a personal level. In addition to these structured teachings, our teens participate in various personal growth, community service and "fun" activities.
